We ask that you
leave our cottage clean the way you found it when you arrived.
You
understand and recognize the following conditions of use:
1)
The home is not child-proofed.
However, the cottage/home is provided with reasonable safety and
door locks.
2)
The beaches do not have lifeguards on duty.
Guests are responsible for supervision at beaches. Trash
and other items need to be removed from the beach area.
3)
The cottages and the beaches are not wheelchair accessible.
The north cottages have a ramp to the beach, which takes you 3/4 of the way down to the
beach. Then there is a deck and then about 7 stairs to the beach.
The south cottages have sturdy stairs with a hand rail that takes you to
the beach (approximately 10 stairs, then a landing, then 5 more
stairs).
4)
The owners will not be responsible for loss/damage of
personal belongings, accidents, or injury
anywhere
on the property or on the beaches.
5)
Smoking is allowed OUTSIDE ONLY.
6)
No pets will be brought onto the premises without prior
permission of the owners. If
permission is granted, dogs must be on a leash at all times when
outside. No more than 1
dog is allowed on each property. No
animals are allowed on the beach per the Village of Lexington and the Huronia Heights Sub-division
by-laws.
Dogs can not be left alone to continuously bark and annoy other
cottages. Feces must be removed. No dogs are allowed on our
furniture. An additional $10 per day will be charged. No pit
bulls or rottweilers are allowed. This will strictly be enforced!
Any
occupant of the cottage or guests using the property by your
invitation, agree to abide by the conditions outlined. We
do not allow day guests in any cottage or on the grounds that exceeds the maximum
sleep occupancy. Any cottage that has more guests than what is allowed
will be asked to leave without any refund. Visiting animals are not allowed. Our cottages are
not set up for large groups of people even if it is just for the
day. It is too hard on our septic
systems, our cottages and our neighbors. The maximum allowed
is as follows:
Cottage
#1 = 8, Sailaway = 7, Castaway = 7, Timeaway = 6, Cottage #2 = 6,
Cottage #4 = 6, Cottage #3 =
4, and Cottage #5 = 4. Thank you for abiding by our
policy. We reserve the right to ask people to leave the cottage
and the grounds / yard for not following our policy. No refunds will be
given.
NO MOTOR HOMES,
CAMPERS OR TENTS ARE ALLOWED
AT ANY COTTAGE.

No security deposit
has been received. You and
your family/friends will be responsible for any damage to the premises.

we receive and cash your check and/or process your Visa/Master
card/Discover Card, you are in agreement and accept our terms and
conditions above. We
do not give refunds during July and August unless it can be re-rented.
30 days notice for cancellation is required. A $25.00 cancellation fee will apply to all cancellations.
Please do not move the furniture around or take
items from one cottage to another including the porch chairs.
Everyone shares the boathouse picnic table and umbrella. It
overlooks the lake. Everyone shares the deck on the water with the
table and chairs. Please be courteous to others and share.
There are several chairs on the beach for your use.
We are glad that you

THE
INFORMATION SHEET
What’s
Provided?
Your kitchen
is fully equipped with everything you need for basic
housekeeping during your stay. There
is a full-size refrigerator, stove/oven, coffee maker, toaster and
microwave. A
variety of dishes, silverware, pots, pans, glasses, cups, and serving
bowls are ready for use. Pillows and blankets are provided. There is 1 toilet tissue, 1 trash bag, liquid hand soap and
dish soap to get you started.
Sheets and towels are
available at an additional $7.00 per set.
South
Cottages: All cottages have a living room with cable TV, fully equipped kitchen, full
bathroom, furnace/fireplace, porch, fire pit, outdoor table, chairs and a gas BBQ
grill.
The Sailaway
has 4 bedrooms (1 queen and 5 twin beds).
The yard has horseshoe pits with horseshoes. The Castaway has 3 bedrooms (1 queen, 1 full bed and 3 twin
beds). The Timeaway has 3
bedrooms (1 queen and 4 twin beds).
The Dayton House has 3 bedrooms (1 queen, 2 full beds, and 1 twin
rollaway). All cottages have a living room with cable TV, fully equipped kitchen, full
bathroom, furnace/fireplace, porch/deck, fire pit, outdoor table, chairs and a gas BBQ
grill.
North Cottages:
All cottages have cable TV, fully equipped kitchen including full
refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, glasses,
cups, pots, pans, bowls, and silverware. Each cottage has a
full bathroom, heat source, porch or deck, charcoal grill and gorgeous
views of Lake Huron. The cottages are situated on 4 acres of land
and share 100' of private beach. There are 3 decks on the water
with tables and chairs to enjoy watching the boats go by and enjoying
the beauty that the lake has to offer. A fire pit is on the beach
for bon fires. Pillows and blankets are provided. Sheets and
towels are not provided. Cottage 1 has 1 queen bed, 1 queen
sleeper sofa and 2 full beds. Cottage 2 has 1 queen bed, 3
twin beds and 1 rollaway twin. Cottage 3 has 1 full bed and
1 full sleeper sofa. Cottage 4 has 1 queen bed, 2 twin beds
and 1 queen sleeper sofa. Cottage 5 has 2 queen beds.
All beds have
mattress pads, pillows and either a blanket or bedspread.
You might also consider sleeping bags, bath/beach towels and
additional pillows/blankets if you prefer.
THE
KEY Will be advised in your
email or mailed confirmation
Check-In
/ Check-Out
Checkout
will be no later than 11 AM on ___________________. We
appreciate your cooperation in respecting this checkout time so we will
have enough time to prepare the cottages for the next set of guests.
We do not want to interrupt our guests during the week so we
ask that our guests water the flowers (in season), keep the cottage
clean and PLEASE
PUT THE TRASH IN THE TRASH CANS AT THE ROAD ON SUNDAY IN THE SAILAWAY, CASTAWAY & TIMEAWAY.
IN THE NORTH COTTAGES (#1-5), PLEASE PUT YOUR TRASH IN THE CANS
PROVIDED. Please leave the
key on the kitchen table when you leave.
Bonfires
& Barbecues
The
south cottages (Sailaway, Castaway and Timeaway) each have a private bonfire pit in the yard.
The north cottages (#1-#5) share a bonfire pit on our 100' private
beach. You will need to bring your own kindling and
logs.
Firewood is available at local stores and gas stations.
Please put water on the fire before going to bed.
There is a BBQ
grill with a brush at each cottage. Please
scrape the grill after using.
Drinking
Water
The
south cottages have city water. The north cottages have clear well water.
Laundry
& Clothing
Temperatures
can change quickly near the lake, so bring sweatshirts, jeans, and
ponchos. There is a laundry
mat located in downtown Lexington.
Telephone
There
is no telephone on the property. There
are phones at the Marathon Gas Station located on M-25 kiddy 4 miles
south of Lexington. There
are also phones in downtown Lexington.
Visitors
- We
do not allow any day guests that exceed the maximum occupancy of
the cottage. We
ask that quiet time is from 11:00 pm - 8:00 am.

DRAIN FIELDS.

Things
To Do
Swimming
and basking on the beach. Close
by are 2 golf courses, miniature golf, 2 bowling alleys, tennis courts,
playground equipment and a park are located at the harbor. There are vintage shops, pubs, restaurants, and many other
shops located in Lexington. During
the summer, there is music in the park free on Friday evenings at 7:30
pm. Lexington provides a
craft fair at the harbor in June (3rd weekend), fine arts
street fair downtown Lexington in August (1st weekend), and in September (3rd
weekend) in addition to the craft show are the outhouse races are on
Saturday and the classic car show on Sunday.

DIRECTIONS: Take I-94 north/east until it ends in Port Huron.
It will veer to the left and become Pine Grove and M-25.
Travel north for about 16 miles.
The Castaway, Timeaway, and Sailaway cottages are just south of
the Marathon Gas Station on the east side of M-25/Lakeshore Road
THE SAILAWAY
Elmwood is located
about 3 streets south of the Marathon gas station.
The Sailaway is the last house on the left.
It is on the corner of Lakeview & Elmwood.
The address is 7524 Lakeview and it faces the lake.
It is light yellow with slate blue doors and shudders.
There is a red and white lighthouse on the deck.
THE CASTAWAY
& THE TIMEAWAY
Maplewood is located
2 streets south of the Marathon gas Station. The Castaway is on the south side of the street.
The address is 7480 Maplewood.
It is sage green with red trim.
The Timeaway is on Maplewood on the north side of the street at 7477
Maplewood. It is a beige color with red trim. The houses are directly across the street from each other.
THE NORTH
COTTAGES
These 5 lakefront
cottages are located 3 3/4 miles north of the Lexington light off of
M-25 just before the Beachcomber Motel. The address is 3627
Lakeshore Rd., Lexington, MI 48450. Cottage
#1 and #2 are on the left side. Cottage #3, #4 and #5 are on the
right side (each cottage is labeled).
THE DAYTON
HOUSE
Located in downtown Lexington across from the Music Theatre water
fountain and tap room near the marina. 7333 Huron Avenue
(M-90). It is red in color with greenish shudders.
