BARN HISTORY
The Barn Theatre is located on the south end of Port Sanilac on M-25 on the same grounds as the Sanilac County Historical Museum.
The Barn was built about 1 1/2 centuries ago and is historically accurate; meaning it is without inside plumbing. (Do not fret, facilities are located alongside the building). The building was actually used as a barn during our off-season until about fifteen years ago.
The Barn Theatre started out in 1980 doing just one show a season, but now in our 28th season, we produced seven full-length shows and two concerts.
The Barn's dress code is "comfortable", after all it is a barn. We have something for everyone. Several of our shows are great for the entire family, but some of them are for older teens and adults who want a fun evening out. We specialize in comedies and our fortes are the farces.
We pride ourselves on producing quality theatre on a shoestring budget so we can keep our ticket prices low. We are also able to keep tickets lower due to the many businesses in our area who support us by advertising in our program and on our curtain. We thank them and ask that you do so by patronizing them as well.
BARN RULES and RESERVATIONS
We want you to enjoy the Barn, but we have a few rules that we ask you to follow: No alcohol in the Barn No smoking in the Barn No babes in arms Turn Off Cell Phones No Photography or Video
Reservations are not necessary, but for the best possible seats, reservations are recommended (and call early!). Our reservation policy is simple: just call us! We will set aside the best available seats and you can pick them up before the show. We also ask that you call ahead if you have special needs because we have limited handicap seating.
We do not accept credit cards. Pick up reservations before 7:50 PM or they will be released. Please call if you must cancel. Shows start promptly at 8 PM
